Dosed At Dose
Dose Market was just the heady mix of food and fashion I had been waiting to hit Chicago. The well curated selection of wares included everything from terrariums by Sprout Home and Gourmet snow cones by Jo Snow to fabulous fashions from our lovely friends at Twenty Thirty Forty and CFAN Designs. There was a buzz about the atmosphere that brought back fond recollections of my childhood romps in the marketplaces of Thailand where I grew up. However, the fish mongers and vendors selling sweet jasmine leis were —of course— replaced by a much more Haute selection of goods that had shoppers in a tizzy!
Speaking of Haute— Dose Market brought out some of the most stylish people I have ever seen in Chicago. My usual gripes about the sad state of summer styles were replaced by coos of “how cute!” by the whole Laundry team. It seems Dose Market brings out the best of everything! Well done and many thanks to the Dose Doyennes-Emily Fiffer of Daily Candy Chicago, Jessica Herman from Time Out Chicago, April Francis of Haute Closet and Heather Sperling from The Tasting Table Chicago. Emma Arnold of Tres Awesome was on hand to shoot some stylin’ photos of the best “lewks” from Dose. I can’t wait for the next Dose Market on July 10th, so be there in your best summer frocks as we’ll be on the look out for some serious style!
